The Supervise Case Managers Skill Pod aims to develop the skills and knowledge needed to take a leadership role in the delivery of quality case management. This includes how to disseminate information and provide advice on practice issues relating to case management within the organisation.
Options
You have the following choices:
- Complete this stand-alone skill pod as professional development ($290)
- Complete the stand-alone assessment only and receive a statement of attainment ($450)
- Complete stand-alone version of this skill pod and associated assessment and receive a statement of attainment ($740)
- Complete the full qualification by completing all required skill pods and associated assessments
You also have the option to complete assessment tasks and receive a Nationally Recognised statement of attainment for the unit of competency CHCCSM006 Provide case management supervision. You can choose to:
- enrol in the Learning and Assessment version now, getting access to both learning content and assessment tasks straight away
- complete the Learning only version now and come back and enrol in the Assessment only version at a later date
If you have extensive experience in the industry and believe you do not need to undertake any further training you can choose the Assessment only version and get access to the assessment tasks straight away, without needing to complete the learning activities.

This Skill Pod will explore how to:
- Use a variety of supervision skills to monitor and support case managers
- Develop and promote best practice standards among the case management team in line with organisational service and professional standards
- Support and lead colleagues in contemporary case management practice
- Provide practical advice and guidance in complex case management
- Reflect and improve on your own supervisory skills and delivery
It is an important skill for those who have work autonomously and are responsible for their own outputs within broad but defined organisation guidelines.
